• Do you provide towels?

    Yes we do!

  • What makes Beautiful bike different from other Indoor cycling studios?

Beautiful bike is the first indoor cycling studio in downtown Seattle to make exclusive use of the revolutionary RealRyder™ bikes. We customize the experience from our reservation system and surperb instruction to the specific saddle and pedals that fit your riding style!  You get this each and everytime you ride at Beautiful Bike.

  • Do I need to be an experienced cyclist to take a class?

If you are a first timer to indoor cycling, rest assured we always encourage the intention of your own pace.  Beautiful bike instructors will take care of all the details so you are ready to ride.  We will make sure your bike is set up properly on your first visit and take you through a short tutorial on what to expect during a class. Please inquire about the frequency, intensity and duration of our classes. We can help you choose the class structure that is right for you.

  • What should I expect if I am new to indoor cycling?

The intensity of the workout depends on you because each rider has the ability to adjust the resistance level on the bike. This is one of the greatest attributes about indoor cycling. You will become stronger and more confident with every class.  Please inquire RE: Intro Sessions. They are highly effective and can be privately scheduled. Most other classes are 45 and 60 minutes. Classes that are 75 minutes or longer in duration count as two classes.

  • How do I know how many classes I have my left on my series?

Log in. Click on my account and then click on My Classes.

  • Can I purchase Gift Certificates?

  • How long is a class at Beautiful Bike?

The duration of most classes are 45 minutes. Please note that a few classes will be longer. For example: all "Plus" classes are 60-75 minutes depending on the class and time it is offered. Any class that is longer than 45 minutes will generally be counted as a two class debit from your account.

  • What should I wear?

You can wear your regular gym gear but for maximum comfort a tight fitting bike short is great. You can wear your regular exercise pants if you wish. Also try to wear a top made with a quick drying fabric.  You may wear your regular exercise shoes but we recommend you wear a bike shoe that clips directly into the pedal.  Please let us know what brand you intend to bring.  If you choose to wear an athletic shoe, flat bottom stiff soled shoes are best, like a skateboard shoe or a tennis shoe.

  • Do cycling shoes really make a difference and if so, what type should I get?

Cycling shoes do offer a more secure position in the pedals enabling the cyclist to work much more efficiently. Pedal strokes become more powerful. Any bike shoe will do. We pride ourselves in offering Look, Shimano, Crank Bros., Time, Speedplay, Wellgo(Look style) and SPD pedals for our indoor cycling bikes. If you are unsure of what type of pedal/cleat system you have, send a picture to us!  email: beautifulbike@icloud.com

  • How early should I arrive prior to my first class?(required)

We take great pride in offering a custom fit and is essential for your first visit.  We have to know exactly which pedals to put on the bike to fit the shoes you intend to wear for your first class.  Prior to attending your first class at Beautiful Bike,  arrive a minimum 20 minutes early to ensure a proper bike fit.  Bike fits can ALSO be scheduled by appointment on a separate day prior to your first class. This can be helpful if your first class is an early A.M. class.

Please see: "How Do I Cancel a Class?"

  • How many calories are burned per class?

This all depends on the strength and conditioning of the individual and the amount of exertion used. The Realryder bikes we use engage more muscles than the standard research that we have seen. Based on the average, indoor bicycle: burning 400-550 calories in a 45 minute workout is on the lower end compared to riding a Realryder bike for the same amount of time.
